"I was hot. The water belongs to everyone."
"Although it is illegal to swim in the fountain, a 40-year-old tourist known only as Roberta said to be from Milan did just that on 22 April 2007, saying "I was hot. The water belongs to everyone." The poor-quality photographs of her swim taken by a tourist quickly found their way into most Italian media and international news and websites as well."

Room with a view
I have moved into a beautiful house on Via Foria and I can see from my window new funeral flower compositions every morning.

Out
Today I am feeling much better so I got out of my bed and accepted the invitation of Andrea (my doctor).
We had a drink together in the morning
Then I went to his house and saw Vesuvio by his window
He also cooked a healthy soup for me
In the afternoon we went to Capodimonte Museum and we saw many violent things:
Like those two elegant Lucretias killing themselves
(The first one by Francesco Mazzola known as iI Parmigiani and the second by Ignoto Lombardo)
Cute Cain killing his cute brother Abel
(by Leonello Spada)
Quite naked Jesus getting flagellated
(by Caravaggio)
We also saw Leonardo da Vinci’s St John the Baptist (a copy I hope) falling apart
at the bookshop I realized that I have missed my favorite violent painting, Judith cutting of the head of holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi, the museum was closing so I bought the postcard...

In bed with fever
Dear Cecilia, Francesca and Maria,
I am writing from Naples, frustrated, since a viral infection is keeping me in bed unable to join you for the presentation set for tomorrow afternoon in Rome. I have been asked to prepare some material, which will “speak in my absence”. Instead, I though of sharing my experience of being sick and getting lost in the most fascinating museum of the world: “Youtube”. I prepared a list of videos, which I have discovered or re-discovered today in this video-cyber-archive, which was missing, since the invention of the video camera, for an absolute democratization of the video production. I have selected for this purpose performances flirting with the “extraordinary”. In addition I have inserting some uploads from the TV of the past, which have been lost before the creation of this archive of obsessions. A hint on what might be the end or a brand new beginning of the history of video-art…
Enjoy and call me if there are any questions…
Aboriginal Interpretation of Zorba the Greek
Counter-exoticism: the Chooky Dancers are performing Zorba the Greek.
Homayoun Shajarian sings live on TV
Homayoun Shajarian makes me cry even if I don’t understand a word of what he sings.
Mesmerizing starling flying over Rome
Mesmerizing starling that my friend Michael showed me today on youtube and which I wont see this time in Rome.
Thriller
1,500 inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines reenacting Michael Jackson’s video-clip “Thriller”.
Raffaella Carra - Bolero
This video of Raffaella Carra is a brilliant collaboration of the cinematic and the theatrical… I love it when she flies in the skies…
“Marcelo! Come here”
A drunk guy reenacting “La Dolce Vita”.
Boys performing a yoga demonstration
An old video showing boys performing a yoga demonstration… My friend Adonis discovered it some time ago and sent the link to me, I watched it three times today.
Contortionist Brothers
Old performance of Roy and Sven Schmall from Germany, Contortionist brothers performing in the middle of two multicolor light pyramids.
Hahaha
A very happy baby to make you happy.
Muscles
A young man showing off his muscles.
I want it that way
Two young guys performing-playback on a backstreet boys song
"Dirtylad”
The very first video of the “dirtylad” smoking on youtube (there are much more with slide variations).
Spencer and Barbara dancing
An extraordinary pas de deux!
Harder, Better, Faster, stronger
Impressive!
Dalida - Je suis malade
